I've always felt my purpose was to make a difference in the world, and this is why I became a doctor. Having worked as a GP for the last 9 years, I've had the privilege of working with people on an individual basis, partnering them in their difficulties, and helping them to find a way through to a happier life.

I've also had the opportunity to train junior doctors as the GPs of the future, again giving me experience of facilitating personal and professional change and development. However, I am aware of the limitations, both in time and resources, of my work in the health sector.

In 2005 I started my own journey of personal change when I trained as an NLP practitioner. As well as helping me to find solutions to some of the obstacles in my own life, I soon realised how much this could also benefit the people I work with. I have since trained as a certified Coach and am working towards accreditation for ICF (International Coach Federation).

As a doctor, I've noticed that many people who seek my help are not physically sick, nor do they suffer from a mental illness - they just have personal issues which are holding them back from living life to its fullest. Having already brought coaching and NLP into my work, my work as a Happy Hour Practitioner now gives me the scope to partner more individuals on their journey of change.

I hope to use what I have learned to help clients make the connections between past, present and future that will inspire them to move forward towards success. This, ultimately, is what makes me want to get out of bed every morning!
